ECG and Cardiac Stress Test

The electrocardiogram (ECG) test detects any heart abnormalities through measurements of the heart’s electrical activity. This test is only for patients with no known or established heart disease but are at risk, due to factors such as: family history of heart disease, overweight, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, and are smokers.

The cardiac stress test is designed to show how a patient’s heart functions during physical activity, when blood flow is increased. People that are planning to engage in strenuous physical activity may decide to take a stress test to see whether the heart can handle the added work.

Home Visit Services

This service is primarily for elderly or physically disabled patients who are unable to come to the clinic. It is also used for palliative care – such as providing cancer symptoms relief. For home visit services, we send a team of one doctor and one medical assistant to the patients’ house.

Ultrasound

We offer a range of ultrasound scan services for our clients. These include:

  • Early pregnancy confirmation and dating scan
  • Pregnancy scans to monitor baby’s growth, placental positioning and so on

  • Gynaecological scans to detect cancer in the pelvic area
  • Thyroid scans and scans of neck lumps or swellings

We encourage bookings for ultrasound assessments as some scans may need patient preparations such as fasting for at least 6 hours (no food or drink) or a full bladder (should drink at least 1 liter of water one hour before their test). Some ultrasound assessments only take a short time, but some may take about an hour and therefore need extra time allocation.

eVitaliv

Vitaliv’s virtual consultation is an extremely effective tool for non-emergency medical care. There are a number of conditions that can be treated via online consultation without having to trouble yourself going the clinic or wait long to see the doctor.

eVitaliv is suitable for conditions such as: cold or cough, sore throat, migraine, indigestion or gastritis, eye conditions, rashes, ear pain, acne, diarrhoea, joint pains, sinusitis, contraceptive advice, review of test results, mood disorders, prescription refills.

Health Wellness and Movement

Empowering our patients to make necessary lifestyle change in order to become healthier.

Figures from 2018 revealed that 51% of Brunei’s school children were overweight to obese. This is worrying because childhood obesity is associated with greater chance of developing diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases in adulthood. It is therefore important to start taking care of our health at a young age.

With a view that prevention is key, Health Wellness and Movement brings a team of doctor, fitness specialist and medical assistants for collaborative and supportive approach tailored to the individual. In prioritizing childhood obesity and other eating disorders, Health Wellness and Movement targets 10-19 years old.
